This is great. I don't know much about art so what I will say is that this looks like a page off of a children's storybook that might not end that well. But great shading and I love the sparkle and glow effects you added.

Well its funny that you say "childrens story", this is a picture of Merry and Pippen from the "lord of the rings". Tolken wrote LOTR for his children.
